 AESO general statement on RoHs of 01/09/2004

 Amphenol’s chairman Martin Loeffler gave the instruction to all divisions to have 80% of the products RoHs compliant by the end of 2004 and 20% of the products moving toward compliance. The connector industry is still facing issues to realize lead free soldering which makes the realization of the 100% compliance difficult to schedule.

 There have been meetings between the Amphenol divisions in Europe, Asia and America in May, June and July.

 Asia is collecting the actual status from all factories. There will be a follow up meeting in America in September.

 Amphenol gives detailed information on RoHs and lead free compliance, or expected compliance,  per product on request.
