The characteristics of Kamak inductive eddy sensors include:

Several sensor models are designed to withstand extreme temperature and pressure. Environmental impurities such as moisture, grease, radiation or fluids do not affect the measurement. 

Kaman Eddy Sensors

Kaman Eddy  Sensors  can be used to linearly measure the distance from the metal target surface. The output of the sensor is a voltage or current message, where the  magnitude is proportional to the distance between the sensor and the target surface.

Kaman product range includes a number of sensor models, where some are general-purpose such as the KD-2446, KD-2306 and KDM-8206. Special models such as the SMT-9700 are optimized for high-precision special measurements. Special applications have their own special models, such as ThreadChecker for threads and Extreme Environment sensors for demanding environmental conditions and extremely high temperatures.
